Is there any average price to install a 7-zone sprinkler system for an average lot of 60 to 75? Will the price vary based on the geology situation of the lot and location?

I know the price is based on how many zones and the size of the yard.

To give you an idea, I had a sprinkler system installed on 1/4 of acre with 15 zones for $3600 back in 2007.

Quotes are free so call around and get at least 3.

60 to 75 what? Price will definitely vary depending on how much rock you have, if they have to use a jack hammer to cut the trenches. The ones I have had installed were quite a few years ago, around $3-4 thousand, so it would be best to get some quotes.

No maintenance issues. I'm a huge gardener so I really wanted control of the different areas of my yard. Different zones for grass in sun, grass in shade, trees, flower beds in sun, flower beds in shade and I have some raised veggie garden beds that have their own faucets for drip irrigation so they have their own zone too.

Does the price for a sprinkler system vary depending on the time of the year when it's installed? We're looking to get one as well, but figured that with high demand (summer months) it might cost more. I was thinking of waiting until some time after summer and before next year's spring. Is this good logic or would I be making a mistake?

I don't think they are related. Sprinkler system is not a must, and there are several dry seasons and wet seasons all through the year. summer time doesn't means high demands.

I got a 20% discount for my installation in Nov. They said it was because it was their slow time of the year. Of course you never really know if you're getting a true discount or if they inflated the original price so it looked like you were getting a discount.
