Hi, I'm moving to Austin in September with two of my friends. I was wondering if anyone knows of a house within 30 minutes of Austin for rent (less then 1,400 a month) or sale. It needs to have 1/2 of an acre at the absolute least. If its for rent it HAS to be dog friendly (no weight limit, as well as Dobe and APBT),
3+ Bed, 2+bath

We have been looking but if anyone knows of an area pm, or link me to a site that has one.

I'd recommend the neighborhood adjacent to our home. It is on the Round Rock side, not in the city limits (so you wouldn't have to pay RR taxes). It's called morningside meadows, the lots are at least .50. Many of the homes are one stories. It is pretty established for the area. Rental might be around 1400-1500. Sale ranges from 160s for smaller, simpler homes, to over 240s. Commute time to d/t from where I live (on the Travis side) ranges between 30-40 mins. We do not take 35 until we are very close to d/t, we use FM 685 (which rarely has wrecks). Schools are good, as a bonus. Kids I believe would attend Forest Creek Elementary, which is at least recognized.
