Sorry if this has been asked before...

I'm new to the area and looking for a gun range close to Steiner Ranch. Also looking for a good gun shop, one where I could not only pick up supplies but maybe see classic used guns for sale.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

By helicopter, I think it would be Red's. That might be the closest by auto as well. Not personally sure about the firearms selection South but Red's North is well stocked.
Red's Indoor Range Location (http://www.redsguns.com/location.html - broken link)

From a pure retail standpoint, this might be your best bet:
Welcome to The McBride's Guns Website

Academy Sports carries a fair gun selection and usually has pretty good prices on ammo. No range, of course.

Definitely go by McBride's just for the fun of it.

Red's is the range I would go to. Haven't been to the one North, but I really liked the original, in Oak Hill, when I was there some years back, and it might be closer, as well.
