Depends on the person. Remember, Houston is actually the mildest of the big Texas cities when you factor in "non-summer" weather. Our weather is arguably the best taking all seasons into account.

We were filming in Dallas that week so your experience wasn't really unusual. Sounds like nobody told you everybody was sequestered in the 'Hole in the Dome' stadium. You might be the guy in the show clawing his way up 75, looking for relief.

Glad to hear you're alive and well. And, come on back. Things have cooled off a bit.

Using Intellicast - Intellicast - Houston Historic Weather Averages in Texas (77061) to check the historical weather records....

I looked at the record high temperatures for each city in August. Austin had the highest number of days when the temperatures there exceeded the highs for Dallas, San Antonio and Houston.

High temperatures: Austin - Dallas - San Antonio - Houston

IN August
Austin 11111111111111= 14 days of highest temperature
Dallas 11111 11111 = 10 days of highest temperature
SanAnt 111 = 3
Houston = 0
In reality, your information falls short due to leaving out the actual hottrest big city in Texas - EL PASO - El Paso kills these cities in all-time high daily temps - El Paso is the hottest big city in Texas

You are correct. I overlooked El Paso, every day in August El Paso has had record high temperatues of 100 degrees or higher. Oddly enough El Paso has even higher record temperatures in June!

El Paso is Texas' hottest big city when it comes to all-time high temperatures in June, July and August. Under 100 degrees in summer in El Paso happens maybe only half the time.

Default el paso is the hottest

El Paso hits 90 degrees as early as March 18th and hits 90 degrees as late as October 26th. That is EIGHT months a year where it can hit 90 degrees.
Also, it hits 100 degrees as early as May 8th and as late as September 16th. That's FIVE months where it can hit 100 degrees.
Additionally, El Paso has hit over 100 degrees 118 days of the year according to all-time high temps.
When it comes to HOT, El Paso kicks the rest of Texas' ass. Why? It is in the TRUE desert and is the westernmost point of the Lone Star State. El Paso has 800,000 people.

I lived in Dallas and Austin. After a certain point the heat difference is negligible. Hotter than h@ll is just plain hotter than h@ll.

Why would we say that if the stats show that's actually not the case?
