I have not been to a Freddy's before so was wondering if the excessive service I experienced there today was how they normally operate or if they were just trying too hard at a new store.

We were there about 25 minutes and in that time I was asked:
3x if they could refill my drink
3x if they could clear my plate
2x if they could take my kids plates
1x if we had enough serviettes
1x if we had everything we needed
1x if we would like afree sample of custard
1x if we needed any more ketchup and
about 4x a general "is everything OK?"

At first it was quite nice but then it got really irritating. It seemed like every time I took a bite someone was asking me something

Any thoughts?

I just left there about 30 minutes ago and was only offered to remove the tray from my table, remove my food from the table (after I was done), and if they could get me anything. This was in about 20 minutes, but they were slammed packed too.

It was like that for the first month or so at the Cedar Park location, but it stopped after a while. I have a feeling it's just because it just opened. The only thing that they do at the Cedar Park location now is take your tray occasionally.

I agree with mark311. It's opening month type service and it will lessen with time. I did get asked if everything was ok on my last visit to the CP one, but even the tables were barely wiped down.

It's been a few months; but a very attractive young lady at the Cedar Park location returned to our table a number of times...even offering samples. Now, was it our impish 5 year-old nephew??? My wit and charm??? Boredom??? We DID end up buying custard after a VERY filling meal, so it was a 'plus sale' successful effort, I suppose.
