Can anyone recommend a fenced dog park in North Austin? I live around MoPac and 183. The dog park at my apartment complex is the size of a postage stamp. I was spoiled by always having either a decent dog park at my apartment complex or a city dog park five minutes away. Yard Bar is a last resort because there are fees.

I took my dog to Far West and saw a dog roam out into the street and almost get hit by a car. I also don't like the parking. I got a nail in my tire.

Yard bar is the best you'll get for fenced up north. $20 for five visits and you get to drink and the bark rangers take care of any fights. I drive down to the riverside dog park when I don't want to pay, but I know that's a drive.

Yep...just around the corner is Shady Oaks Gun Range, so one person could play with the pup while the other goes to shoot in air conditioned comfort! Might as well multi-task if you're gonna make the trip!

Only five visits? Ugh. Thanks. I think the closest free, fenced dog park is by Wells Branch.

The drinks are good and they have tons of little events. Last weekend they had a water day and the 5th of July they had lots of treats and games. They have movie nights on Mondays. There's also mister fans, shade and ample seating. I say it's worth it. It costs the same as The Doghouse Drinkery in Cedar Park.
