Yep, Trudys is it for sure! thanks... oh well, it's no more what it was when we were there several years ago. Anyone know what this place used to be called?

I guess it's been there since 77, so I guess that's what it was. But I swore up and down that place was named something else.

I'm from Philadelphia, and they use it there all the time too. Didn't know it was a regional thing.

If it was Trudys, you will be bummed to learn that they changed their brunch menu this past year. It's not nearly as good as it was just over a year ago.

The problem is I have just a faint recolection of what that place was. I don't remember the food per se, more so the joint. I do remember the food was great. But my wife was looking for it yesterday and she thought it was Magnolias. She went there and that wasnt it either. But by looking at the street view on Google Earth, Trudys seems to fit the mold of what I remember.

There is a Magnolia Cafe on Lake Austin Blvd. that has a good brunch.

I've heard (and used) "swear up and down" my whole life, and I was born in East Texas and have lived in DFS and Central Texas.

Trying to remember the name . . .
