Does Mischief night occur in the Leander/Cedar Park area?

I think Mischief night or anything the night before Halloween is a norther thing..Its more of Day of the Dead stuff around here.

If that ever happens here, some kid is guaranteed to get shot. It'd be a horrifically bad idea in TX.

I grew up in Wisconsin, and there was no such thing there. I think it is actually more in the northeast and east coast.

Yes, my family moved to Mercer County (central NJ) in the late 70s and got an unpleasant introduction to "Mischief Night" the first year (car windows soaped, etc.)! No one had ever heard of it when we moved to TX several years later.

Not familiar with Mischief Night, but TP'ing a house was very common when I was growing up, as was soaping windows. (As late as the mid-1980's, here in Austin, our windows were soaped by some girls trying to get our son's attention.) But not specifically on the night before Halloween.

And it actually was taken as a sort of flirt or flattery, right? In the small NE Texas town where I grew up, toilet papering certainly wasn't considered mischief.
