Hello all,

Our pool will be finished this week and I am wondering how other pool owners filled their pools.

Bulk water? Water from your house facuet? A friend of ours in Boston called out the fire department and they filled it for free.

Thanks

I don't have a pool but I babysit a lot of pools. They all filled theirs with their garden hoses. I assumed bulk water too but they said when they priced it it was cheaper with the hose. Water rates are higher now so maybe bulk water might be better - it would be faster.

you might call your water company--different areas different prices

and IF you fill it with a hose--all city water sources have particulates--
I read that you should wrap the end of the hose with t-shirt or other material to absorbe particulates and keep the hose from staining the new texture of the pool

check out the GARDENWEB site == the pool forum
lots of good info there
don't have to join to read them--just if you want to post questions
