My girlfriend is a receptionist at Women Partners In Health - very freindly (and cute!)
They have tons of happy patients... seems like a great office.

I am trying to find a nice, knowledgeable, and respectful Ob as well. I just had a horrible appt. with Dr. Emily Hooi at Austin Regional Clinic. I read several sites and even asked the receptionist about her personality and reputation. No luck on being the right Dr. for me! I left feeling beaten up and emotionally exhausted!! Not one time did she ask how I felt so far in this pregnancy, nor did she mention the baby's development and due date, although a sonogram was required prior to the appt. Instead of being positive, she insisted that this was going to be a rough and difficult pregnancy. I know I'm 40 yrs old, but I have no health problems and I'm NOT over the hill for Christ sake!
Do not go to this Dr. And the advice she gave for a sleep aid was not even substantiated by info she printed out and brought to the exam room. ALSO the exam and pap she gave left me bleeding to the point that she had to re-insert the speculum and apply pressure and I continued to bleed for the rest of the day. This had to have been my 15th pap in my lifetime and NEVER have I left bleeding.
This was a horrible experience!!

Which Dr. should I ask for if I were to make an appointment there?

Dr. Sherry Neyman at Renaissance Woman's Group is excellent. Her nurse practitioners are great, too.

I go to Dr. Merrit at the Renaissance Woman's Group. Her partner, Dr. Collins is great, too.

@eichlerfan, ask for Dr. Reich at Women Partners In Health. She's my wife's doctor and she's really great.
