Just watching ESPN's College Game Day where Texas has been usually an hot topic but currently on a back burner... or in the freezer.

The show did an interview with Mac Brown so ESPN still regards Texas as a player but with unresolved problems.

Not sure of connection here, probably mostly in jest, but in closing, one of the panel members on the Saturday show commented that Men's Health Magazine rated Austin as the 5th drunkest city in America.

Deaths in DUI Crashes: 23rd

Brings to mind a comment in C-D from long ago by TexasHosrseLady that Austin has the mostly highly educated bartenders in the U.S., being the law student grads who never leave town but can't - otherwise - find a job.

One of my son's childhood friends recently passed away from liver disease caused by acute alcoholism. He was 44.

Since Austin is one of the country's biggest party towns, I'm not surprised.
