Not a trick question but maybe a dumb question... what exactly is a hipster? And do clothes make the hipster? Just curious.

Easiest way to find out is to go to some of the bars on East (east of 35) Sixth Street and observe them in their natural element.

You know that stage you had when you were 16 when everything your parents or anyone over 23 said was stupid. Where you were obsessed with fitting in and pretended you were too cool for everything and everyone. Now imagine you got stuck in that self-centered and bratty stage of development until your late 30's and you have a hipster.
And yes they have the latest iPhone. I just outed myself as a non-hipster because some of the true hipsters reading this are thinking 'pffft the iphone is so 2007 he has no idea' right now as I type this.

Hipsters are one of the only subcultures that really annoy me and one reason I don't really enjoy going downtown here. They are everywhere!

You know that Hyundai commercial with the young couple playing Christmas songs that seems to be on every commercial break? Those are hipsters.

I love that commercial, even though I hate TV.

Keep an eye out for their ironic mustaches and how unique they are all being together.

Whenever I think of or observe a person "posing" as a "hipster" the words "worn out cliche" come to mind.
