* Announcement that MotoGP series will also be racing there
Pretty sure it is to say motogp will be held there starting in 2013. They also might have some offical sponsored title for the track now. I do not think they will be announcing anything about the date of the race yet. Pretty sure we wont know that until the fall of this year.

I bet it's the name of the track - and this name will reflect a foreign investor of some sort (Petrobras, Telmex, etc.).

I'd bet on #2 but it seems like it is something bigger than that so I'm not sure.

The sponsorship thing could be interesting. The track naming rights are very valuable for worldwide exposure. Maybe some local company with an international presence.. ? Or an international company with a local presence?

The fact that the F1 executives are in town (supposedly) probably means it's something beyond MotoGP.. although that is a big announcement in its own right.

MotoGP would be awesome, just in time for the switch back to 1000cc (the last time I was at Laguna for MotoGP was when they were still 1000's, the sound, ohhhhh).

It seems a bit early to be announcing a date, the provisional calendar for the next year usually doesn't come out until the summer, but then again, you never know.

I think the best news would be that the track has an official sponsor. This would be yet another signal that the project as a whole is healthy (or at least healthier than it would be without one). Let's see, the Delladromo, the Samsung Circuit, the IBM Raceway, the Longhorn Ring?

Probably announcing that they aren't buying my 25 acres just a stone's throw from the west side of their property on McAngus Road?

More than anything, I just want to see a rendering of not just the track this time. There are ancillary structures including a grandstand that is being being designed by HKS (ref: Cowboy Stadium). Being a 900+ acre development, a master plan would be nice, or at least site development of some sort.
