We don't live in Steiner but I thought it was interesting that those were the only schools delayed in LISD this morning. Are the hills icy or something?

I heard on the radio that some schools had black-outs in the early morning, and were still warming up and/or food service was not available (all guesses by the radio, I think, but sounds plausible).

I live in Steiner. Our power was out for over 7 hours today - from about 6:15 this morning to about 1:30 this afternoon. Schools had no electricity. From what I understand, it was only Steiner that had the issues for so long. That's why the other schools in the district were open.

They have already called for a 2-hour delay tomorrow in anticipation of the same problem.

I know that a lot of the schools, even out here were having blackouts. Pflugerville let out early and one round rock school stayed closed.
