Hey all, I know i'm only 17 years old, and I have know that me and my friends have little to none real knowledge about the world... but I was hoping to boycott the toll roads for a week to get what ever company that owns it to lower the price, or even go bankrupt... I do realize that this is a long shot and that not every one will do it. If you could spread the word and suggest a week that would be good for this boycott... thanks

Sorry friend. I like the toll roads. They are cheap compared to comprable toll ways thoughout the country.

Is there a reason you wish to boycott them? People are usually more open to the idea of a protest if they know what they are protesting.

Won't happen. Welcome to the real world.

But I encourage you and your friends to channel this effort toward politicians. Get involved, and learn as much as you can about the issues important to you.

Go for it- it's the democratic way. I don't use them, so I can't help you.

I like the way you think young man. It is a great idea, but it wouldn't lower the price or cause bankruptcy. Keep that spirit inside you alive and focused on what you think that you can help change. +1 for your effort and your honesty.

I agree that it's a great idea to be involved in politics...local or otherwise, but I personally like the tollroads and use them very often, so I wouldn't be much help there

Texas 130 is probably not the best to boycott since it's underutilized anyway and didn't quite turn out to be the big trucker bypass they all envisioned.

I boycott them everyday! Just live central and they are unnecessary! Maybe once or twice a year I end up on them for a few miles, very rare event for me.

Maybe all major roads should be toll roads. Pay as you go and use them.

So no - I won't help the OP boycott them.

I'll second that.

I use the 45 north tollway frequently...it's a great convenience.

The Texas 130 needs to reduce it's truck tolls by at least 50% to encourage more of them to use it.
