How much is this support going to cost the taxpayer? You will get my support only after you have done everything that you can do to cut cost that are out of hand now...

If you go to this district's website they have a video on the right side (scroll down) that explains what the problem is in simple terms. It's a pretty good video and pertains to all districts.

What would you say to the abundance of new fancy extravagant schools that have been built in the last few years? shouldn't some of that bond $$ been used for teachers' salaries? Our taxes in the Northside ISD have gone up several times in the last few years. I'm thinking that the $$ should have been used for other purposes.

It's my understanding that bond dollars cannot be used for teacher salaries.

How about a temporary ban on extracurricular activities like sports.....have a pay to play thing set up where parents can help pay, or just eliminate it until things get back under control. Its been done before in some districts across the country and worked. It would save all these jobs
