You guys are right, it was Fiesta Island. It's pretty driving around there but I didn't explore the park. I don't know Balboa at all. I was very impressed by some of the old neighborhoods in San Diego, and the older parts of the coastal communities to the north. It's a beautiful area. The climate bores me to insanity but if someone handed me the keys to a cottage in Del Mar I think I could handle the boredom just fine, thank you.

Yeah, the northern beach communities are not cheap to live in. Who am I kidding? Anything "beach" isn't cheap to live in. Even Oceanside is getting a revamping around the beach areas.
