I have lived here in Austin for 4 years, and I goto the eye doctor once a year since it's cheap w/ insurance. I have yet to find an optometrist that I like (3 different ones so far) because they all want to hurry and get to the next patient. I want to find someone who is very thorough, and takes time with their patients.. Anyone have any suggestions in NW Austin, Cedar Park, or Leander?

I go to Shepard & Shepard Optometrists at 11410 Jollyville Rd #3201 ... I've gone to Donna Shepard for several years now and really like her.

Christine Ho is an extremely patient and thorough optometrist whose office is located at Costco on Research Blvd. She will give you a copy of your prescription which can be filled anywhere but the Costco optical services are both reasonably priced and high in quality according to Consumer Reports.

I've been happy with Arbor Eye Center. Dr. Crothers is very thorough and never acts like she's trying to rush you through the exam.
