I have a Class A CDL w/ Tanker endorsement, experience in most every aspect of construction (both residential and commercial). Have also installed alarm systems, wireless (satellite) systems and hardline internet components as well as set-up and troubleshooting these systems. I have heavy-equipment operation experience and various other certifications and training that may be applicable. Bottom line, I am a 34 year old father of three (ages 4,5, and 10) - they are my entire world. Do to unforseen circumstances my ex-wife needed to re-locate to the Round Rock area. I have very little money, no transportation once I arrive and as of yet no place to stay. But, what I do have, are 3 kids and even an ex-wife who need me down there. There is nothing I won't do to make this happen. Please, if anyone has any ideas of employment (enough to pay $1000 child support+my rent+and living expenses) and/or housing it would be very much appreciated. Once again, thank you for any advice or direction you can provide.

I would check craigslist and see what is out there in your field... and there is a place in North Austin called work in texas, and it has workshops/career placement services that are fantastic!! Computers, phones everything you need to help you get back on your feet. It is off of Airport and is accessible by both bus and the light rail if you are coming from north of Austin. Good luck to you!! I think you should definitely be able to find a place to live that is reasonable in either Round Rock and Pflugerville area...

My husband is a truck driver and sometimes he uses craigslist to find contract driver jobs, so I'll 2nd that. You shouldn't really have a problem finding something that will pay rent and child support.

Smile Still Looking

Have checked craigslist and although there are a couple of jobs that would work, I have as of yet been able to get a response. So if any of you hear of anything please let me know, thank you again very much for any insight or direction you are able to give.

I normally advise people to have a job lined up....but:

I admire you and your commitment to your family. I hope your job search is a quick one & wish you the very best.
