Hi, I recently checked monster, career builder, and craiglist. I found very few office jobs in Austin. I'd like to know if there are other sources for these type of positions. Postings for Administrative Assistant, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Secretary, etc. Thanks

It seems that many of those types of positions at my employer start out as temps and if they work out are offered full time employment.

You can check out the newspapers. Many administrative posts are advertised in them. Check them regularly along with the sites you have mentioned. We can't say when a vacancy comes. Even if its a temporary one, take it up for the time being.

Like everyone said, most are temps/contractors. I don't think these position ever transition to full time positions w/benefits anymore. I haven't seen that in several years.

UT has a lot, but I don't recommend working for them.

Why would you post this and then not provide even the briefest of explanations as to why you feel this way?? How is that helpful to the OP?

I'll second the temp work. At best, it will turn into a full-time position. At worst, it will pay the bills and let you network while you look for something better.
