Thanks, everyone. I guess character wasn't the right word. Historic building with nice setting/surroundings would be ideal. Something special. I am thinking Green Pastures. It's about $36, more than I wanted to pay. Trio is even more - $48.

I actually got married at Paggi House when it was still owned by Thomas. Good thought.

Since posting this I found a website called ChowHound, and Moonshine was recommended quite a bit. However, it seems like it might be more casual. I was thinking it would be nice to go somewhere that has a "special occasion" atmosphere, I.e., not somewhere people would go any old weekend. Thoughts?

Moonshine is definitely not special. I would go with Green Pastures for that historic/special occasion feel.

I love Moonshine's food- especially brunch.

And Green Pastures cannot be beat.

My bridal shower was at Chez Zee and it was perfect.

Eastside Cafe is a great place - it's an old house with a lot of charm. The food there is really good and reasonably priced. They even have a chicken farm and garden behind the restaurant that you can check out.

I'd originally recommended Moonshine in my previous post, but if you're going for ambiance, then yeah....Moonshine might not be the ticket. But Green Pastures definitely is a winner. Love that place!

Beautiful location, a really lovely place. However, we have been there three times and the food is always very disappointing.

Check Chowhound and see if they have gotten any good reviews lately.
