Has anyone had any recent experience with either of these apartment complexes?

Which Monterone location are you looking at? I know a lot of people who have had issues with the one in Steiner Ranch. An internet search will yield you a lot of bad reviews. Any disgruntled tenant can write those though, but even the Better Business Bureau gives them a grade of "F."

Yes...that is the one. I was hoping that maybe that was in the past and things are better now. We are moving this summer and decided on Steiner Ranch but we are still trying to sell our current home so we thought we might rent an apartment in the area so my daughter can start school there. Look like no on Montrone. I notice another on called Riverlodge, not sure if it is in the same school district, but it seems nearby.

What age is your daughter? If she will be going to elementary or middle school, then Monterone is the only one zoned to Steiner schools. If she is going to high school, then you have more options.

OK. Then there are a bunch of complexes along 620 that feed into Vandegrift. You should be able to find one that suits you.
