"According to reports, the officer checked the child more thoroughly and found that he was only wearing a soiled diaper. The officer changed his diaper, put him in some clothes and gave him a cup of water."

I'm confused. Is this what they mean when the cops are going too far?

Seriously, I suspect the officer is a father. Most childless men wouldn't even think of such things.

And the father needs to be shown the back of the woodshed!

I don't blame him. I would probably do the same thing if I had to deal with kids.

Hats off to the officer - he deserves a commendation. How could anyone treat their kid like that....and not to mention, the child's father was 57 years old - wth?. That's old enough to be my dad.

They said that the kid was now staying with a grandparent, and I wonder how old they are...90?

Of course it's unthinkable to leave a 2 year old at home alone, but this is the part of the article that really boggles my mind:

Police say the child was placed with a grandparent who stayed with the toddler during a past CPS incident.

Wth? How many chances does this idiot get before his poor little kid truly suffers?
