Howdy All,

Can anybody tell me where to buy the best dogs and buns for a cookout?

I'm looking for the footlongs, can't find the buns anywhere...

Thanks, Happy M Day!

Gotta love a guy named bacon cooking hotdogs!

Wonder Bread has foot long buns...Wally-Mart is listed as a retailer.

Surely there are some local foot long dogs...maybe sausages instead?

Costco sometimes sells footlong hebrew national kosher hotdogs.

That's funny Rick, never heard that joke before!

BTW where did you play, teach? Austin is a good golf town, but not much tennis out here, is there?

25 years or so in Atlanta--'world headquarters' for league tennis(over 80,000 members in ALTA, over 30,000 in USTA leagues!) Ran a popular 'Friday Night Round Robin' for 17 years. There's plenty of golf and cycling out here...the tennis isn't 'in your face' like it was in Atlanta.(Might have something to do with the 99 degrees and 38mph winds outside right now)

Get these instead of hot dogs. In my hometown, this is what we used for hot dogs. Never had a frankfurter until college. You can buy them at HEB. For some reason the Prasek brand calls them breakfast links but they are just smoked czech style hot links that are skinny like a hot dog. Once you've had them on a hot dog, you won't go back.

Hope I'm not too late to the party, but Costco has uncured bison dogs that are actually pretty healthy, and danged tasty.
