Does anyone know of any good apartment buildings for students, or how much I should expect to pay?

Thank you for ANY help
What's your budget? Will you have a car? What program at UT are you going to be in? Are you going to live alone, or will you want a roommate?

Whatever you do, don't rent a place sight unseen. You need to visit Austin and actually see the place you're going to rent before you rent it.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions/links.

My budget is between 500-800 a month. No roommate. I have a car, but I'd prefer to bike or take the bus. Unless that's a bad idea?

I'm planning a weekend trip to Austin to check out some places, but I need to have some specific places in mind by then. Thanks again for everyone's help and advice!

Are you male or female? Would you consider a roommate?
