You are the guy who tried to run me off the road earlier this week are you? Maintain discipline and remain calm, those extra few moments will save you sanity and gas money.

Some of us plan accordingly and don't need to speed. I personally end up leaving too early nine times out of ten and need to kill some time...

There are some morons who always drive slow specially in left lanes. Seems like they have fun watching car backup behind them. And then there are other set of morons who would run anyone just to speed and save couple mins.

I think the main problem I see is people are slow responding to traffic conditions. Today I was driving north on Mopac. Near William Cannon entry there was little traffic, so car were driving at 50-55. But it cleared immediately. Still two cars in far left lane kept on driving at 50. I took 2244 exit. Don't know how long they continued their leisure drive.

Same thing happens everyday during evening commute, going south on mopac. Near Mopac&71 there is traffic so its fine to drive slow. But some continue driving slow all the way till Davis lane and then speed up only to slow done immediately at slaughter.

We have aggressive tailgaters, cut & chasers and some slowpokes.

And we have the majority that are respectful drivers. That apparently is not the case on the east coast?

In many ways I agree with the OP. Crazy number of left lane slow drivers in this city - and by slow I mean below the speed limit in clear driving conditions.

If the gap in front of you is growing, move right. Because the line of cars behind you is growing. Get off the phone and drive. Please.

This.

And please, if you're the first person waiting at a red light--pay attention.

We shouldn't have to wait five beats for you to wake up!

why do you assume it is happening in the left lane? I guess I don't encounter that many people driving like that in the left lane of the highway. Most aggressive drivers I see are not on the elevated highways.
