I go to one called Old Query but most of the libraries I have been to seem average here in Austin. I have NOT been to the one on guadalupe though ( i heard that one is the very best).

That's awesome. I'm still using my faculty card to ride cap metro for free so I think it will still work at the library as well but good to know.

I'm assuming this doesn't include their rare books. They have an amazing collection. Got to actualy touch a Gutenburg bible years ago before anybody knew they had it and all the security went in.

No criticisms please, the Austin public library system is much better than the
Texas A&M library.

Have you heard that one:
Ohhh, the Aggies library got burnt down, such a terrible incident, both books were burnt.

I gotta say that the Austin system is the worst of any place I've lived in. Ohio & California both had much better systems.

Hopefully when the new downtown library is built, the whole system will get reinvigorated.
