I'm moving down from NC in August by myself and looking for a inexpensive place to live until next June. Looking in the San Marcos surrounding area, within 20 miles or so.... I will be working in the new tower at the airport. A one bedroom, or a shared house or room mate would work; prefer my own bathroom, Any leads out there?

Check out Craigslist. I was looking at San Marcos apartments last night and there were several cheap ones that looked pretty nice. It's much cheaper than renting in Austin.

Try autumn chase apartments. They are good. San Marcos is a college town and rent is a bit expensive for being a college town. I like the town though.
