Hi,

I'm looking to buy in Austin and want to consider Bank owned or Foreclosures. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good site that will get decent results? Realtor.com and Trulia don't give the address on the few they show. I think there are a lot more that don't show up on those sites.

When i google this i get a bunch of results that look like scams. Are any of those legit and worth paying for?

TIA

foreclosure.com is better for Texas than RealtyTrac

You can't get good information without paying for it. Texas foreclosures move very fast (unlike some other states) there are tax foreclosures and bank foreclosures, both sell property at auction on the courthouse steps. It is not a venue for rookies. And REO (bank owned) can be a tremendous pain in the a##

If you want to find a well-priced house, find an excellent realtor who has closed dozens of deals in the area you are interested in, if you are interested in an investment consider a REIT instead.

good luck!
