You can also buy salt lick BBQ sauce at the airport. I personally would bring a set of BBQ sauce and some dry rub.

County Line, Salt Lick (you can go to salt lick 360 which is in town and close by county line) and rudys.

There is also austinnuts which makes austin themed gift baskets.

Ha - that's a good one, twange! Except that their Brooklyn brownstone has taller ceilings than my duplex and they have a rooftop terrace that covers the entire top of their building....

These were great ideas - thanks!. I ended up buying a selection of all locally made goodies from Central Market (the wife is a pregnant chocolate lover) - Butter's Brownies in plain and ginger infused; gingerbread biscotti; Lamme's Longhorns and a little selection of chocolate truffles with baby faces and toys made out of fondant on top of them -

I LOVE the tall ceilings of brownstones. I would rather have a taller ceiling than a larger floor footprint. It's a claustrophobic thing I guess. Whoever decided that drywall sheets should be made in 8 foot standardized lengths(therefore leading to 8 foot ceilings, cuz it's easier and cheaper), should be drawn and quartered.
