I just discovered my neighbor a few houses down has been dumping his trash in the greenbelt behind our houses.

He moved in a year or so ago and had came down to my house asking who we used as a garbage service (we live in county). I guess he decided to forego garbage service and just use the greenbelt instead.

I have only spoken to him one time and he doesn't seem very friendly either so I'm not going to confront him about it.

I'm pretty sure what he is doing is illegal as hell not to mention just "trashy", but I'm not sure who to call and report it to.

Does anyone know??

Thanks.

Call Travis County code compliance/enforcement. Same with Williamson, if you are there.

If you were in Austin, you'd call city code compliance.

Call TCEQ if you are out in the county. Even if they are not the enforcement authority, they can probably point you the right way. From the web site ("Don't Mess with Texas Water": A Way to Report Illegal Dumping) it looks like you should probably contact the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG » Regional Services)
