Broadmoor Drive / Belfast to be exact. How is it there? I know the general area near Cameron/35/51st and Windsor Park can be somewhat questionable, but don't know much details.

Is it safe to walk down Broadmoor at night, will my car get broken into parked outside?

From what I've heard and seen about this area, it seems like a sketchy part of town.

Windsor Park has improved greatly over the past 10 years and (with the rising house prices around the city) the police has stepped up patrols. I wouldn't mind at all buying in the area.

Police, residents team up to fight burglaries in Windsor Park

My impression of the area when I drove around it last year was that it is reasonably safe and probably improving due to the Mueller redevelopment close by.

You can use http://www.spotcrime.com/#Broadmoor%...austin%2C%20tx to view recent crime activity most areas of Austin. However it only shows recent crime activity. It does show several assaults in the area, but more over towards IH-35 and Camern Road, which is pretty much the case all along the IH-35 corridor.

This City of Austin crime viewer allows you to view crime activity over a longer period of time then SpotCrime. City of Austin - GIS Disclaimer (http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/GIS/crimeviewer/CrimeViewer_disclaimer.html - broken link) But the information it provides is harder to sort through.

This Trulia Crime Heat Map is a little more useful because it shows recent crime based on SpotCrime information, but also color codes areas of the map based on annual crime statistics. You can also use the filter built into it to look only at different types of crimes, such as violent crimes, or burglaries, etc. Crime Map Beta - Trulia

It appears to confirm my gut feelings about the area as described above.
