They obtained site plan approval. They still need a building permit. I suspect site work will commence in another month.

I really hope to Sing Along with Muppetts at this venue.

It would do well in San Francisco.

So none of the several buildings going up right now is the planned Alamo?

It sure looks like the big building furthest to the south and near MoPac is a theater building. The other big building, more toward the north and west, is apparently Austin Diagnostic Clinic.

?? The Alamo Drafthouse at Circle C is about halfway done already. If you drive down MoPac, keep going after Slaughter, and the large building to your right that's being covered with a brick facade is the Alamo Drafthouse.

I like driving by and seeing the progress.

I was assuming the same thing. I wonder if the other poster has information that we do not.

Here is the location map. http://www.statesman.com/multimedia/dynamic/01098/WEB0901alamoslaugh_1098580e.jpg (broken link)

Is what you are seeing as far back as the map indicates? I have seen the buildings going up along Slaughter Lane recently, but have not driven by the East side of the property in ages.

Sitework can start with approval of the Site Plan, but they are not allowed to start work on the building until the building permit is approved.

Yeah, there is nothing else near that far back on the statesman map, other than the theater, so it has to be the theater that they are building. The structure is pretty near complete, but I presume there is a lot of other stuff to do to build a theater other than put up the walls and roof .
