His word should mean something. In this case it did not, he continues to be a huge let down IMHO!

I would much rather him go to the capitol and work on getting those people that help.
Let's not kid ourselves. The fire in Bastrop is by far the worst. Most of the county is gone. He was 20 minutes away in Austin, and not even the courtesy of a call? Just a flat-out no show? Basically, he's saying he really doesn't give a f*** about his fellow Texans. Now he wants to be president? Really? Really?

He probably figures he'll win Texas in the general election no matter who he snubs, so he can stay home and coif his hair, or whatever. And he's right.

That seems to be the idea. I often hear people supporting him finding excuses for every criticism towards him.

You know I think they decided at 3 pm they were going to have the meeting at 430pm. Me, as a mom gets pissed when something like this happens from the kids..ie..I forgot we have to go...I can only think how hard it is to get everyone in the right place for the Gov to get there..benefit of the doubt just like Capt Kerr, one time..
