I do. I got your DM and I've been too busy to respond. It's all good though. Go to the Paloma Lake fb page to get acquainted with your new neighbors. I will DM you in a couple of days.

guys...

I am looking at a GH home, being quoted 300K for a 3K sq ft home, is it wise to put 300K in paloma lake? what are the prospects of growth investment wise over here??

Unless you get a killer deal on the front end, I don't see any reason for that area(or much of the general outlying areas) to appreciate in any meaningful manner over the next few years. Perhaps a particular house on a particular lot(lakefront, view, size, greenspace, etc) would increase a bit as the similar lots are sold out, but there's way too much new construction 'out here' to expect values to rise overall.

As is often said, you don't want to be the most expensive house on the block. If that $300K is in the middle-ish range for the neighborhood and the surrounding values have held, it's likely a good 'investment' IF you're going to live in it. In general(very general) a hundred bucks a square foot isn't a bargain for the area, nor is it 'way over the top'. Depending on finishes and other factors, you could likely find something similar for $85/foot or someone who went nuts and paid a buck-twenty per.

This concludes the 'election year' response to our question. Experts, please feel free to chime in.
