Hello everybody,

I have a busted couch that needs to go TODAY (I have 2 toddlers that think it's great fun to play with the exposed springs). Can I leave it out for the garbage truck? Or do I have to take it to the dump myself?

If anyone on here is knowledgeable about furniture repair and would like a project, it is free to a good home if you can pick it up

List it under 'free' on Craigslist (write in address and say it's 'on the curb') and it will be gone in 30 minutes.

You definitely cant just leave it out for the garbage truck. There are specific bulk collection times. This link says call 311 to find out when your bulk pickup is scheduled. If it is too far off then you can bring it to the dump yourself (and pay)

Thanks for the link, but it didn't apply to me as I live in Pflugerville. IESI says I can actually leave it out on the curb. I'm posting the link here in case someone else could benefit. I guess I overlooked it on the City of Pflugerville website, but sure enough, googling 'bulk items' found it. So thanks for the spark, Austin97
