Its Simple as this.. The LEO's responded as if there was. They don't have time to second guess the report. They used the resources that they had readily available to them to ensure that students, teachers and staff of the school and surrounding area were safe and secure. They conducted all this while checking out the report. Just image what would of happened if it was reported and only a single patrol car arrived on site to be caught in the fire of a active shooter situation.

This is the reason why the staff at the school should be trained on what to do in this type of situation. Freaking out is actually part of the situation. No one can say they do this or that, even while being taught on what is the proper policy and procedure...

I think she's "lol"ing the fact that since she wasn't clear in her written communication, specifically in using "helicopter" as a euphemism for "concerned parent", that many readers interpreted the word "helicopter" to mean what it means, instead of what she means.

But let's not get sidetracked. This thread is about the poor communication skills of the LTMS Principal, the over-reacting LTMS parents, and the OP's desire that we all join with her in excoriating those parents and that Principal for their absurd behavior.

My apologies. The excessive histrionics induced an unfounded and sexist assumption on my part that you're female. I do apologize.
