Hello,

How hard is the water in Cedar Park?? We recently purchased a home in CP that does not have a water softener loop. Does anyone know how much it costs to get a loop plumbed? Any recommendations? Thanks!

A simple google search of "cedar park water hardness" shows that last year Cedar Park itself reported water hardness at 181 ppm. That is judged "hard" water.

It doesn't seem that bad to me and prices will vary on this installation. Call a few places and they should send somebody out for a free estimate. Christianson and ABC both come to mind and I guess places like Lowes also have contracts with local plumbers for install.

Do NOT call any of the advertised water softener companies like Rainsoft unless you want to spend $5000.

I agree that working through Home Depot or Lowes and/or a trusted independent plumber might produce a much lower cost bid.
