Me and my friend are taking a day trip to photograph things and eat good food. Any weird landmarks or visually interesting things we should know about? We'd like to take some fun pictures along the way. Thanks!!

I'd head to Fredericksburg and visit Enchanted Rock. Pay a few bucks to get in the park; climb the rock, taking pictures on your way up and down the granite dome. Eat a nice lunch in Fredericksburg at any of several places, including the Brewing Company.

Could be a good time to take some pictures of Lake Travis and surrounding dry creeks and rivers. When the lakes rise and streams start flowing again, take new pictures at the same locations for a great contrast.

Look up the site for "The Daytripper" show on PBS. Lots of good ideas.

Hill Top on 87 north of Fred.if you are going to be there, good food and interesting subjects. Bat Tunnel WMA near Fredricksburg and Alamo Springs is right there.
