So I went in here on the recommendation of my Brother-in-Law. This is such a neat little place, especially since Hutto doesn't really have a grocery store, much less a meat market. They grind some of their own sausage and also have some other local brands brought in. They sell a pretty wide variety of types of meat (ground beef, jerky, steaks, etc...). They have some produce (I saw celery, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, potatoes, lemons, bell peppers/red&green and a few other things) and grocery items as well. They have a little deli counter and sell deli meats and cheeses also. It's cheaper than the other store that used to be here (Sarah's Texas Pantry) and not boutique-y like that place was either. I hope locals will support this place because I'd hate to see another small business owner not make it here. I bought a ring of their Hutto sausage to try out tonight.

Thanks for the tip! We drive to Green's Sausage House in Temple a couple of times a year to buy goodies. It will be nice to have a closer option. Look forward to checking it out.

Along 79 on Front Street in the little strip center that Pink Penguin yogurt is in. They did have a sausage in the case, I think 2 actually, that were called Westphalia Sausage. I'm not sure what the differences in them were; maybe the grinds or spices.

Dang, if we had left Mississippi on time, we could have stopped by on the way back! As it was, we were 2-3 hours behind schedule. Maybe a road trip is in order...easy drive from Avery Ranch Not too spicy for me, if you please.

Speaking of meat markets, did you hear the one about the butcher who backed into his grinder? Got a little behind in his orders .

Bah-dum-bump! I'm here all week, folks.
