Hi friends -
first time posting on here! I have a 1991 Toyota Camry that I can't get to run, it's currently sitting in a parking space at my old apartment complex and I've gotta get it moved over the weekend or they'll tow it and bill me. I was thinking about just selling it to a scrap yard for parts but have no clue how to go about this or who to use. Any thoughts, suggestions on how to go about getting this done... on a Sunday?

Sounds like you had better get busy calling places and see who can take it off your hands the soonest. Here are some leads.

Can you get a friend to help you push it out of the apartment complex parking and park it on the street? That could buy you some time. You can buy a towing strap at Sears if you need to move if more then a short distance. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10...psid=32x676099

Do you actually know that the car won't run because of anything serious? If it is fixable it could still be worth something or at least you could get some more miles out of it. Last time I had a car breakdown in a grocery store parking lot, starter stopped working, I called the Firestone store near me and they had the car towed to their shop at a very reasonable price and had it fixed within a few hours.

The towing company was Pinkies http://www.pinkiestowing.com/

I'll be surprised if you can't find one that will come pick it up for you. Most of them have their own tow trucks. Get on the phone and start calling!

It's a legit company, they will pay you for it and pick it up. I have friends that work for the company.
