I've stopped at some of the Mexican import places around town (one at 2222/620 and one near Hudson Bend) but they are so expensive. Anyone know of a source with a lower mark-up? I'm open to San Marcos, San Antonio or other areas as well. Thank you!

Believe it or not, I found some really gorgeous ones last year at Big Lots. It may be worth a look.

Garden Ridge sometimes has some pretty good prices.

I know the Natural Gardener has a big selection but I'm not sure what the prices are like.

There is a large pottery place in downtown Gruene Texas, just N. of New Braunfels, also, within walking distance of the Grist Mill Restaurant. You could make a day trip down there for lunch on the decks overlooking the river and then check out the pottery prices.

Yep, Big Lots for plastic planters and Garden Ridge for clay pots.

The Natural Gardener's pots are beautiful, but the prices are quite high. I would only buy pots there when they are having a half off sale.
