I need to buy some home office and bedroom furniture. Any recommendation on furniture stores in Northwest Austin?

I like Star Furniture and Ashley Furniture, as well as Haverty's.

I love Crate and Barrel--located at Research Blvd. and 360 on the same corner as Whole Foods and Nordstrom Rack.

If you're in that area, check out the Home Consignment store in Arbor Walk. H-u-g-e store with new and consignment furniture. YMMV on prices, but isn't that ALWAYS the way with furniture .

I like the Furniture Row set of stores at the corner of Burnet and 183. Furniture Market on I-35 has quite a collection too and prices are not too bad.

Yeah, except for that idiotic tag line: "Centered around YOU".
Good way to flunk an English comp paper .

BTW, do they still have TWO mattress stores in that complex? Austin has no shortage of mattress stores, that's for sure!

Caffrey's Furniture on Anderson Lane. Great furniture and local family owned! Mary Caffrey will take great care of you, we've always been pleased with the service as well as the furniture we've purchased from there.

Kinda helps to know your price range and what kind of style you're into... Do you want new or vintage or antique?

Most of my furniture has come from Room Service Vintage (North Loop), but I also check out It's New To Me and Uptown Modern (Burnet) from time to time. All specialize in consignment and vintage furniture.

IKEA has some decent desk systems. I built a Galant on the cheap when they discontinued one of their colors.
