This was absolutely cool! We were lucky enough to be right there when it went through and someone took a video of it too so we can see it again!

There was just something about it that made my heart swell.

That IS a special treat! I wish I could have seen it too. I wonder if it was the Cedar Park one, but just going the opposite direction, or another train altogether.

According to this news from Tuesday it wasn't scheduled to make to Austin due to mechanical issues: Community Briefing: Cedar Park to hold public grand opening of City Hall; Bastrop teachers host school board candidate forum
and UP: No. 844 Update also says it's out of commission.
