It's raining in Austin and the birds are chirping. It's relatively cool outside at the moment as well. This is my favorite kind of weather.... cool and rainy...

Looks like some good rain over the hill country. Should be great for the streams and eventually the lake levels.

Love, love, love it too! Hate the birds chirping, LOL, they wake me up, but love the rain and the cool weather. It will be desert dry and hot soon so this is a welcome break.

How many automatic sprinkler systems do you reckon will be running Saturday morning?

Things are going to get pretty soggy overnight...hopefully nothing violent will accompany the rain.(And I am REALLY glad I cut the grass YESTERDAY! Likely will be back out there this weekend! )

2" total from yesterday's rains and a dead tree fell over in my backyard last night from all those high winds.

I live in East Round Rock.

I'm sure Lake Travis is relieved from all that ridiculously dry weather from last summer.

While the agricultural benefit from the recent rains is obvious, I'm going to guess the lake levels will rise only marginally. Of course, any rise is better than continuing in the wrong direction.

Somebody will post the actual numbers pretty soon, I reckon. I'm afraid for all the sogginess we currently 'enjoy' the lakes will rise only a few inches.

We can always hope for a 'moderate' Memorial Day deluge to help out!
