I'm in Circle C and can't think of anyone that I know who would have a problem with a two mom family. I know that I would have a major problem with anyone who wasn't welcoming to you, and I would guess that my close friends in the neighborhood would feel the same way. Most of the people that I have become friends here are quite open minded.

Circle C definitely has a lot of transplants. It is far more diverse than I originally thought it would be which has been a pleasant surprise.

The question is..are you strong enough to defeat them?
Who cares? Everyone has 'enemies" who judge you on who you are and how you live. I do. And I don't care.

I never asked whether you cared or not. My message was for the OP, not you. If I have a comment or a question for you, I will ask you. So far, Mimimox3, I have nothing to say. Don't wish you ill or harm. But, I do wish you "Happy Trails!"

This is is what I mean - sometimes you don't see your enemies. But, I do know how to deal with them. After all..I am a Texan!

Honestly, you'd be fine in either Austin, Dallas or even Houston. But especially Austin. Lots of "Bubble Money" people like places like circle c and even Steiner Ranch.

Y'all do realize that the "bubble" popped about 4 years ago, right?

Probably the wrong word to use. I meant people living in California who have insanely expensive homes (by our standards) and them sell them and move down here, taking advantage of the wide gap in base home prices.

My advice is to get a real estate agent. They can help narrow down your search and find the perfect place for your family. It is a very busy time of year and places are getting snatched up like candy. [mod] Recommending real estate businesses not allowed. Also Per The Terms of Service: "Recommendations are allowed for posters that have at least 10 posts.[/mod]

I hope you aren't surprised that you have "enemies". Your only surprise might be that it isn't for the reason you believe.

Sorry, I don't understand that comment. Are you speaking to ME, or not? Just clarifying.

It popped 4 years ago, and the transplants who got out with the inflated equity disproportionately settled in far SW Austin. Since the bubble "popped" 4 years ago, home prices have risen about 25% in SW Austin while the rest fo the country fell about 40%.

Caveat Emptor, my friends.
