Bad news for me last night, since my A/C decided to stop working! All it does is make a slight hissing noise as if it's wanting to start, but then just quiets down after a minute or two - and that's it.

A couple of summer's ago I had the contactor box go out on me thanks to a pile of fire ants deciding to hang around on it and then get fried together when it turned on!

Not sure what the problem is this time - but the outdoor fan isn't coming on at all.

So I'm hoping someone who lives in RR area has a great recommendation for a good A/C compnay in the area that will just come out to fix the problem and not try to sell me a bunch of un-needed stuff on the side?

Thanks in advance!

I also noticed AC by Chris and Moody's had great Yelp reviews too and they are local. Any experience with those two by anyone?

A/C is up and running again. Turned out to be the capacitator (sp?) for the inside unit. It was the original one from 1998!

A/C by Chris came out, and he only charged me $100 (part & labor) to get it done.

Very HIGHLY recommended!!!

Nice to feel a cool breeze in the house again...ahhhhh...
