How can you say DFW is a big midwestern city? With all that pretentiousness? With all those churches on every other corner? You are kidding, right?

I have posted on several of the Austin vs San Antonio posts. I see the negative tones several of them take, and I see people trying to sell Austin or San Antonio to others. It's great, fun etc. My question is this: For all of the San Antonio people that say Austin sucks blah blah blah, why do you post on the Austin forum instead of the SA forum? I mean if you don't like the town why even bother posting here? Why don't you just post on your wonderful city forum?

I never thought San Antonio was bad but I recognize that if you are not latina or latino then you will probably not fit in.

Maybe they meant it "looks" like one....skyscrapers rising up out of the plains.

I remember driving into Calgary, Alberta (not that its a midwestern city, of course) and having to blink twice thinking I was back in Dallas
