I hate these things, they are so fast and poisonous! Never been stung but certainly wouldn't get in their path.. Just not used to these bugs they have in TX!

I have not seen one so far and I'm digging in the ground quite often. Has anyone else? From what I read they do not kill humans but if you already have an allergy to insect bites it could be worse than normal, (normal seems to be the bite can bother you for a couple of days). But again, I have no experience with these things.

I have lived in Texas my whole life (mostly central Tx) and have seen two of these buggers. They definitely give you the creeps. One was almost a foot long and they are FAST, but it isn't like they are coming after you or anything.

I spent 10 days in Hawaii, and saw two of them.....

I have seen just about everything since living in Texas, mostly in my backyard or house. But I have never seen one of these. If I do, that may just be the straw that sends me packing.

I see a few per year around my house. In 15 years in this house we have seen four in the house. No !@#$%^ idea how they got it. They are the creepiest bugs by far. They are also spectacular creatures with that jet black body and bright colored head and legs.

They like dark, moist areas in general. They can be under rotting wood, concrete blocks, etc.
