Ok, checked WF. Those bratwurst that WF carries can't be compared to those that I had from German store... Just a parody... Oh, I'm upset.

Aren't there some butcher shops around Austin? There's one in Hutto called 'Westphalia Meat Market's. They have a pretty good selection of sausage.

Here are some rec's from a chatroom I found....Nemecek Brothers in West, Green's sausage house in zabcikville, Prayer's meat market in La Grange, Brandon's in New Braunfels, Opal's in Fredricksburg, and Patek's drive in in Mouton.

Believe me, I know! My mom is half German, my Grandfather and Great Grandparents were 100% German. I cherish the memories of the German customs I learned from them, especially at Christmas!
